Hemel Hempstead boasts both the Riverside and Marlowes shopping centres that host all your well know high street brands, Including Marks & Spencers, Primark. The Old Town has a market once a month and there is a good choice of shops, some are specialist shops, bars and restaurants that cater for most tastes. There is also a good choice of supermarkets in Hemel Hempstead. You have a large Tesco, Sainsburys two Aldi supermarkets to choose from.

The town is centred on Marlowes - the main shopping area - and the High Street in the Old Town. Marlowes, the outdoor pedestrianised shopping zone, has recently been the subject of a major revamp and now boasts many facilities to help turn your visit into more than just a shopping trip.
The residential area of the town is made up of neighbourhoods; five of which date from the New Town in the 1950s with others having been built later. The town also includes pre-New Town residential areas - Boxmoor, Apsley, Leverstock Green and Nash Mills.

There are also a number of specialist shops, including jewellers, art galleries, toy stores, antiques and gift shops, as well as boutiques.
