A woman has been rushed to hospital with “serious injuries” after she was hit by a vehicle.
Police were called shortly after midday today (Wednesday, October 28) following reports of a collision on Adeyfield Road in Hemel Hemspstead, Hertfordshire.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, attended the scene.
Traffic was affected on surrounding roads, including Montgomery Avenue, Tedder Road and Hillary Road, while officers dealt with the incident.
The woman has now been taken to St Mary’s Hospital in London by road ambulance for further treatment and care, an East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed.
A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 12pm today (Wednesday, October 28) following a road traffic collision in Adeyfield Road, Hemel Hempstead.
“It was reported that a vehicle was in a collision with a pedestrian. Officers attended alongside the ambulance service.
“The air ambulance also landed.
“The pedestrian (a woman) has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.”
