The Herts towns where heavy snow is forecast this weekend

Hertfordshire looks set to be in for another blast of wintry weather this weekend with heavy snow forecast for much of the county.

While strong winds and cold weather from Storm Christoph will hit many areas across the UK from tomorrow (Friday, January 22) things will take another turn with the arrival of snow on Sunday.

Most of the county has seen little more than just a sprinkling of snow so far this winter, but that could be about to change.

BBC Weather is predicting that heavy snow is on the way for most of us on Sunday (January 24).

And while temperatures will officially sit around 0C for most of the weekend, it will feel as cold as -6C in places.
