The Herts celebs we’d love to see on I’m A Celebrity

Over the years, I’m A Celebrity has become one of the best TV shows in Britain.

Usually, it sees a number of celebrities getting flown out to Australia where they live in the jungle and face bush-tucker trials and are filmed for all of us too see.

This year though, because of coronavirus, celebrities were sent to a castle in Wales and although it hasn’t been the same, it’s still been great to watch.

Some of the biggest names in the game have been on the show like Harry Redknapp, Joe Swash and Mo Farah.

And, in the run up to the show, it is always on the tip of everyone’s tongue about who’s going to be in the jungle.

Hertfordshire has some fantastic celebrities and some have gone on to win the show like Charlie Brooks.

So here are some of the celebrities from our county who we think would be amazing on the show:

Bradley Walsh

Bradley Walsh is one of the nation’s TV treasures and he is proudly from Hertfordshire.

The TV personality is from Watford and is rumoured to still live in the area but seeing him on I’m A Celebrity would be a great watch.

Most people love watching him on The Chase and we can only imagine how funny he would be on the ITV show.

He has been rumoured and tipped to be on the show for a couple of years now and I reckon he’d be one which most I’m A Celeb lovers would pick if they could.

His sense of humour would be perfect for the show and some of the stories he could tell would be even better.

ITV directors, please just get him on the show – we need it.

Anthony Joshua

Over the years, Anthony Joshua has become one of the biggest names in the boxing world.

The lad from Watford is now an international star who inspires thousands across the world.

He is the perfect example of someone who came from nothing and went onto be a megastar.

Seeing him in the jungle would be great as we’d get a bit more of an insight into the person he actually is and a bit more of his background too.

If he went on it, he’d be one of the favourites to win for sure.

Victoria Beckham

I can’t imagine Victoria going on the show, but it would be fantastic seeing her face a bush-tucker trial.

The star, from Goffs Oak, is one of the most well known celebrities in the world and is the wife to the famous David Beckham.

Seeing what life is like for Victoria Beckham, her days as a Spice Girl and more would be great TV.

I’m sure she’d be annoyed at having to eat the delights that they do but who knows, we might be wrong.

Lewis Hamilton

Seeing one of the most decorated sports stars in the jungle would be amazing.

The F1 driver has become one of the best drivers in the history of Formula One with a joint-record seven World Drivers’ Championship titles tied with Michael Schumacher.

Coming from Stevenage, I’m sure he would have some famous stories of celebrities which would catch the headlines.

Also just seeing how he has become one of the most successful sports stars in the world would be interesting too.

Vinnie Jones

Vinnie Jones is one of the most famous, or infamous, footballers.

His aggressive and angry playing style made him one of the most unforgettable players over the years and he has featured in TV shows and films too.

He played for the likes of Chelsea, Wimbledon, QPR and for his national team Wales, who he captained as well.

Also alongside his footballing career, he has played parts in films like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and one of the X-men films.

Who better to take on snakes, rats and other creatures than Mr Vinnie Jones – get him on there.

Simon Cowell

Although it is very unlikely that Mr Cowell would feature on the show, how good would it be if he did?

He was brought up in the Borehamwood area and is one of the biggest names in the music industry.

If he went on the show, he’d be picked for every trial I can imagine and the biggest question would be whether he could last?

He has brought some great humour to shows like The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent and would also to the jungle if he got picked.

He would have some cracking stories and would be a perfect fit for the show.

Gino D’Acampo

Gino D’Acampo is, alongside the likes of Bradley Walsh, one of the funniest TV personalities at the moment.

He has already featured in the show but was amazing on it and it would be great if he featured again.

Recently, he has become a fan favourite on shows like This Morning and is the new presenter of Family Fortunes.

He has lived in Hoddesdon for many years and would do the county proud.

Geri Halliwell

Another Spice Girl on the list, and also from Herts, is Geri Halliwell who is from Watford.

She was part of the group that became one of the biggest bands of all time and was known as the famous Ginger Spice.

She would have some good stories and I’m sure she’d be great fun in the jungle.

Producers of the show also love a singer every year and Geri would be the perfect fit.

Rupert Grint

Seeing the actor who played Ronald Weasley in the jungle would be something everyone would connect with.

Harry Potter has been a film series which everyone has loved over the years and Rupert Grint played one of the lead roles as Potter’s sidekick.

On the side of his acting career, he has built a multi-million pound property portfolio in and around Herts.

He would be great on the show.

LadBaby

YouTube star and blogger, LadBaby (Mark Hoyle, who is from Nottingham, but now lives in Hemel Hempstead) was rumoured to be on the show this year but didn’t make the cut. But next year who knows?

He would definitely bring some laughs to the show if he brought some of his humour and pranks that he shows on his YouTube channel.

Most recently, he teamed up with Walkers to make some Sausage Roll flavoured crisps.

If he went on the show, he’d miss his sausage rolls which is so famously loves and has even hit the charts with a song on the food.

Shona McGarty

Who doesn’t love Eastenders? Shona McGarty, who plays Whitney in the show, would be great on the show.

Over the years, the producers have loved getting some soap stars on there and she would fit the guide.

She is from Borehamwood, which is where Eastenders is shot, and has featured in other shows too.
