Hertfordshire could be hit by snow next week, just days after the county was bathed in glorious sunshine.
Most areas have seen temperatures exceed 20C this week with three days of sun and summery conditions forecast.
It was perfect timing for the March 29 easing of lockdown, with families and friends able to reunite outside for the first time in months.
However, that taste of summer looks to be short-lived with wintry weather returning from Easter Monday.
According to Weather.com, most areas are facing a ‘mix of rain and snow’ on the bank holiday (April 5).

The forecasts for Tring and St Albans, Hertfordshire, predict those areas could face snow showers on both Monday and Thursday (April 8) with rain showers later in the week.
Temperatures could also reach as low as 0C overnight, with highs in the week of around 8C.
It could be an underwhelming week of weather in the run-up to outdoor hospitality returning on April 12.

Forecasts so far in advance are of course subject to change, but it seems like the picnics may have to wait until later in the month.
