Watford has seen its infection rate and number of new Covid-19 cases fall again.
The borough, which has held the highest case rate in the county for some weeks now, continues to see a positive decline as shown in the latest Public Health England data for the week to May 21.
It comes as seven of the 10 boroughs in Hertfordshire saw a rise in their Covid infection rates in the same seven-day period.
Of the 315 local areas in England, 134 (43 per cent) have seen a rise in rates, 167 (53 per cent) have seen a fall and 14 are unchanged.
Here in Herts, the borough that saw the biggest jump in cases was Welwyn Hatfield which went from nine positive tests in the week to May 14 to 21 in the seven days to May 21.
