Hertfordshire traffic: London Road in Langley closed by police after two-vehicle crash

A Hertfordshire road has bee closed this afternoon (Monday, December 27) following a crash.

London Road, in Langley, North Hertfordshire has been closed by police.

The crash, which has involved two vehicles was first announced by North Herts Police at 3.20pm.

Traffic sensors suggest that the collision has happened close to Minsden Chapel, with heavy traffic in the area.

The police have advised drivers that there will be some disruption to local traffic, including on the turning to Whitwell.

They have also asked motorists to avoid the area wherever possible.

Traffic is heavy around the crash in both directions however the rest of the road is currently clear.

In a tweet, the police force said: “London Road in Langley is currently closed following a two-vehicle road traffic collision.

“Other local roads are affected including the turning to Whitwell.

“We would advise drivers to avoid the area where possible. Thanks for your patience.”

The severity of the crash and whether or not anyone has been injured isn’t yet known, Hertfordshire Constabulary have been contacted for comment.
