Temperatures are set to plummet tomorrow as heavy snow is forecast for the vast majority of Hertfordshire.
Areas will see snow from the early hours of the morning tomorrow all the way through to the evening.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice from today through to Wednesday next week.
Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage and St Albans in particular will see the heaviest of the snow.
According to BBC Weather, temperatures will feel as low as -7C with the snow expected to settle.
Here is a breakdown of when and where in Hertfordshire heavy snow will fall tomorrow according to BBC Weather:
Broxbourne and Cheshunt
In these areas, snow will be heaviest between the hours of 5pm and 2am tomorrow.
However snow is forecast from 2am all the way through to 2am the next morning.
Light snow will fall from the early hours, through the day until 5pm when it is expected to get heavier.
Heavy snow will fall for some time in Harpenden.
It’s expected to start at around 6pm and will fall until midnight. A moderate breeze is also expected.
Heavy snow is forecast in Hatfield from 6pm to 8pm tomorrow evening.
Light snow will fall before though and temperatures will feel as cold as -7C so it is likely to settle.
The town will see light snow fall for the whole day and into the evening where it will get heavier around 11pm all the way through to 2am.
Heavy snow is only forecast in the town for an hour at 6pm. Light snow is expected to fall for the whole day though from the early hours to 11pm.
Letchworth Garden City
Heavy snow will fall from 11pm to 2am whilst lighter snow will fall throughout the day from the early hours.
Between the hours of 6pm and 8pm is when heavy snow is expected to fall in the city and surrounding areas.
Light snow will fall for the majority of the day.
Heavy snow will fall for sometime from 5pm to 10pm and light snow is forecast from the early hours of the morning to 5pm.
It will also feel like -7C at times.
Heavy snow is forecast from 2am to 10am on Monday morning.
Welwyn Garden City
From 5pm to 9pm, heavy snow will fall with lighter snow falling either side of the day and evening.
