It could be another weekend of snow for the majority of Hertfordshire as the weather is set to take a turn.
It’s forecast to be a cold weekend across the county with temperatures expected to feel as low as -4C and with chances of light snow and sleet in many places.
Hertfordshire residents were hit with heavy snow last weekend and although the weather over the next few days isn’t supposed to be as bad, the chance of snow is always something to get excited about.
According to the BBC Weather App, sleet is likely in the majority of towns across the county but in a number of areas snow is due to fall – heavy in places.

Heavy snowfall is forecast in a number of areas on Saturday (January 30) including Hemel Hempstead and Stevenage. It is not likely to set as sleet and rain is due to fall before the snow.
In Harpenden, Hertfordshire, snow is expected on Saturday with sleet forecast for the majority of the weekend.
It’s the same in Tring where light snow is forecast for a couple of hours on Saturday and that’s it.
Here’s the hour-by-hour breakdown of when snow is expected to fall and if not snow, then sleet:
Broxbourne – Heavy snow is set to fall in the morning at around 10am and until 6pm, light snow is forecast.
Bishop’s Stortford – It’s set to be a cold weekend in this town with light snow set from 10am to 6pm.
Cheshunt – Heavy snow is set to fall in the morning at around 10am and until 6pm, light snow is forecast.
Harpenden – 3pm – 5pm light snow with sleet expected before and after that and the day after.
Hatfield – On Saturday, snow will fall from 11am to 5pm.
Hemel Hempstead – Heavy snow is due to fall in Hemel from 11am to 1pm then light snow is expected from 2pm to 5pm.
Letchworth Garden City – The likelihood of snow high with it being forecast from 10am to 6pm.
Rickmansworth – Only light snow is due to fall over the weekend for one hour from 3pm but sleet is forecast for majority of the day.
St Albans – Heavy snow is set from 11am to 1pm then light snow will fall until 5pm.
Stevenage – Heavy snow is likely to fall in Stevenage from 10am to 6pm on Saturday with no snow forecast on Sunday.
Tring – From 2pm to 7pm light snow is forecast for the town however before that, heavy snow will fall from 10am to 1pm. Sleet is due to fall too so whether the snow will settle or not is unknown.
Watford – Light snow is due to fall from 2pm to 4pm.
Welwyn Garden City – This area is not likely to see any snow this weekend. Sleet and rain is forecast over the two days.
