18 Herts areas where Covid cases are basically non-existent

In recent weeks, Hertfordshire, like the rest of the country, has seen a significant shift in the daily number of new cases being reported.

At times, back in the peak of the outbreak, there were around 7,000 new cases being reported a day across the county.

But now, cases and infection rates are dropping at an alarming rate.

It’s clear signs that the controversial decision made by the government to put the country into a third national lockdown has worked although the number of people battling Covid in hospital in the county is still high.

Due to the hard work and perseverance from most of the population, the lockdown is slowly but surely going to start being lifted due to the lower infection rates.

In Hertfordshire however, there are plenty of neighbourhoods where cases have hit rock bottom – 18 in total.

These include the Hertsmere town of Radlett where cases are very low across the area and the Three Rivers village of Chorleywood.

Where there are fewer than three cases recorded in an area, the number is recorded as suppressed to protect individuals’ identities.

These are the 18 neighbourhoods in Hertfordshire where coronavirus is basically non-existent, according to the latest data, which shows the case numbers in the seven days to February 16.
